We carry forward the legacy of independent and democratic trade unionism, and work to build a true democratic society that guarantees human dignity and equality.

We are dedicated to achieving political empowerment of workers and building stronger alliances with democratic forces, to secure national self-determination and vibrant cultural identity. We fight to protect democratic rights and commit ourselves to national independence and the peaceful reunification of our divided country.

We work to expand our strength by bringing unorganised workers into unions, while building industry-wide unions through joint collective bargaining and joint action. Through this, we aim to unite the entire trade union movement.

We fight against oppression by those in power and capital, working to secure fundamental labour rights for all workers. We seek to expand workers' participation in management decisions and remove undemocratic practices from our workplaces.

We fight to improve working conditions by securing living wages, job security, shorter working hours, workplace safety, and better maternity protection. We work to eliminate all forms of discrimination, including achieving gender equality, and strive for safe and healthy working environments.

We seek stronger regulation of big business monopolies while supporting small businesses and farmers. We work to reform policies across all areas that affect people's lives - from social security, housing and education to healthcare, taxes, prices, finance, land use, environment and transport.

We strengthen solidarity with workers worldwide and realise world peace in the face of war and nuclear weapons threats.
