세계의 이목이 한국에 집중되고 있는 이 순간 우리는 한국 노동조합운동에 가해지고 있는 탄압을
전 세계에 알립니다.
지난 한 달 동안 국제자유노련의 가맹 조직들과 모든 국제 산별 노동조합 조직들은 한국 노동자
들의 상황을 세계에 알리기 위해 힘껏 노력했습니다. 세계 모든 사람의 눈이 축구공에만 쏠린 것
이 아니라 한국 정부의 노동조합에 대한 탄압에도 집중되었습니다.
세계가 지켜보고 있음에도 불구하고 한국 정부는 노동자들의 기본 인권을 끊임없이 유린하여 월
드컵 기간동안 구속 노동자가 50명을 넘었습니다.
오늘 한국 노동자를 위한 국제공동행동의 날에 국제자유노련의 이름으로 동지들에게 연대를 전합
니다. 오늘 세계 각지에선 많은 노동조합들이 한국 대사관과 기타 공관 앞에서 항의 시위를 전개
합니다. 국제자유노련도 여기 벨기에 현지 노조들과 함께 브뤼셀에 있는 한국 대사관에 국제항의
사절단을 보내 전 세계적인 항의 행동에 함께 합니다.
우리는 여러분과 함께 구속 노동자 석방을 외칠 것입니다.
우리는 한국 정부에 정당한 노동조합 활동을 위한 노동자들의 기본 권리를 존중하기 시작하라고
요구합니다.
국제 노동조합 운동은 동지 여러분들의 투쟁에 항상 함께 할 것입니다.

Dear friends,
At a time when the world's eyes are on Korea, it is important that we make known,
throughout the world, the repressive treatment suffered by Korean trade unionists.
Over the last month, we, along with our affiliates, and our Global Unions partners, have
worked hard to raise awareness of your situation. The world's eyes have been focused not
only on the football, but also on the Korean government's repressive policies towards trade
unions.
In spite of this, the Korean government has continued to violate the basic human rights of
workers, pushing the number of jailed trade union leaders up to over 50!
On this international action day, we offer you our solidarity. Today unions are demonstrating
outside Korean embassies and missions all around the world, and the ICFTU is playing its part
by sending an international union delegation to join the protest alongside local Belgian unions
outside the Korean embassy in Brussels.
We join you in calling for the release of jailed trade unionists.
We appeal to the Korean government to start respecting the fundamental rights of workers to
engage in legitimate trade union activity.
The international trade union movement stands with you in your struggle.
